Apple Weekend
September 2425

Celebrate the new season’s crop within the historic orchard at Fenton House with a whole weekend dedicated to that most quintessentially English of fruits, the apple. Watch bee-keeping and cookery demonstrations, taste the new harvest and fill your basket with delicious local produce whilst children can join in a variety of fun, fruity games and activities. 

Let’s Get Physical
September 25
Spice up the chilly autumn season with a lick of Latin flavour at these free dance sessions, open to all ages. The whole family can get their groove on to samba and carnival beats at Sutton House, Hackney, with guidance from the world-class Rambert Dance Company.   

Disney Princess Parade
October 2
Welcome Rapunzel as she takes up her role as Disney’s tenth official princess in a horse drawn Princess Procession though Kensington Gardens. The entire illustrious Disney Princess dynasty will be on show for the ultimate girly event which will begin at Queens Gate at 1pm. 

The Big Draw
October 27
Get creative during this arty session at Morden Hall Park, where families can help to create a piece of artwork to be displayed in the newly renovated stable yard.

Pumpkin Carving Competition
October 28
Head to ritzy department store Fortnum & Mason for the chance to show off your creative carving skills and maybe even pick up a prize. Children aged ten and under can win prizes for best fancy-dress as well as their pumpkin-slicing skills in the first-floor demonstration kitchen, after which the competition heats up in the Gallery restaurant for the teen and adult event where a hamper worth £1000 will be up for grabs.

A cosmopolitan celebration of children’s literature from the Institut Français featuring talks and workshops by favourite children’s authors and illustrators from both sides of the channel including Quentin Blake, Polly Dunbar and Kitty Crowther.
