Fans of the Fantastic Mr Dahl will adore this storytelling session featuring some of the timeless author’s best-loved work. Whilst the tall tales are read aloud at the Strule Arts Centre in Omagh, a local artist will bring the story to life by creating a mural before your very eyes.

Celebrate the wonders of autumn at Carfunnock Country Park with a day of seasonal activities for the whole family. Watch live demonstrations of traditional countryside pursuits, cast your eyes over a scarecrow competition and listen as nature experts discuss the changes that take place during the autumn season. Competitive children can get bashing in the conker championships whilst budding Bear Grylls’ can learn wilderness survival skills from resident roughing-it experts, the Northern Ireland Bushcraft Association.

As part of the Belfast Festival At Queens, enchanted creatures and animals will be taking over the gardens for four nights. Listen out for the tinkling laughter of the pixies but watch out for the mischievous goblins who may shower you with berries or twigs!
