How to grow an avocado tree

You don’t need sunny climes to grow this exotic plant

After eating an avocado, pierce the stone with three toothpicks around the circumference.

Now balance the stone,  half submerged in water, on the rim of a glass and leave somewhere warm inside your house.

After roots and shoots  begin to sprout (within two to six weeks) you can pot the seed in a small planter with rich, peat free compost.

With careful pruning and repotting for growth, your avocado plant can grow as tall as 20m high.

It may not bear fruit within the first ten years – or ever – so perhaps don’t bank on a lifetime supply of fresh guacamole, just an enjoyable gardening project.

I just don't know how to grow an avocado tree but I know how to plant indoor plants. The provide the artificial sunlight required so that you're always ready. And it's all cheap too.

If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you. directory
